Had a very good night at the hotel and a lovely breakfast. Walked out of the hotel,bus stop 50 yards away, bus arrived almost immediately. Heathrow central in about 8 minutes…………walk to terminal 3…….eversuchalongtime.com! I wasn’t allowed on any of the travellators. My walking regime begins now,apparantly. 😕 Well I will be spending the next 20 hours or so sitting on my behind so the excersise was good.
Bag check was a breeze as was security with not much of a queue at all. Neither of us set off the alarms,so great! The search for a new charger began. Boots, WHS, Dixons, back to WHS. Much better quality and cheaper too, result. It does any country and has 2usb ports. For good measure I bought a power pack too, so the blog is safe. 😀And, what is more I didn’t have to pay vat on any of it either. Wooohooo.
HOWEVER, going through security, Richard managed to drop his tablet and now nothing on the screen works! He still has his netbook so all is not lost. Although, his technology seems to be dying around him at the moment, now his phone won’t connect to the network or any network !
And so, here we are, waiting, and shopping, and waiting……..around 4 hours till we move through Gateside and then about an hour before we take off. Seems unreal. At least we’ve managed to bag a charging station, so everything will be ready for the off and I can keep amused.
