Quiet Day

Lovely sunny morning again, so after breakfast we made for Mooloolaba about 20km south of here. It would have been perfect to pick up a whale spotting boat from here but, sadly, on enquiring, no more trips as they couldn’t guarantee any sightings. It is late in the season now but they are still out there and in considerable numbers. Apparently there’s a 5% increase in numbers this year. The only trip they were offering was dolphin spotting. Well, I don’t think anything can beat what we saw feet from us on the beach at Byron Bay!

We headed for the town to see what was happening. This is the place to be if you like shopping and coffee. That’s just about all there was apart from the beach and it was way to hot to sit on hot sand. So, coffee in the shade it was; picked up something for the barbie tonight then made our way back to the abode for a leisurely afternoon. I bagged the swimming pool to cool off and work up an appetite for lunch!

Depending on the weather tomorrow, we are thinking of hiring a couple of kayaks to cruise the rivers and creeks at Noosa where we were yesterday. I say depending on the weather, as rain is forecast and it has clouded over this afternoon. Fingers crossed people!

It will be our last full day here tomorrow so it would be nice to do something a bit special. We have to make our way to Brisbane on Saturday, which will be a long day as our flight isn’t until a quarter to one on Sunday morning. Hope the airport has some interesting stuff to look at! 😀 I think we are both feeling a bit sad. It would be so easy just to keep on driving from place to place, but home is calling. I’ve  a concert and a panto to do!………… ‘oh yes I have!’😗🎶🔜💥

No pictures today 😨 Sorry, only the message on the gate for us from the hosts. Didn’t find anything interesting in Mooloolaba  and I don’t think I should scare you any more with pictures of me in the pool. 😂

Hopefully more tomorrow .
