Mount Coolum

Well another 384km under the belt today making a total of  2390km so far. It took 6 hours with the roadworks  and we made a couple of stops, one of which was a power nap for me.

Saw another dead kangaroo  at the roadside. I hope it didn’t suffer too much. Couldn’t see any major injury but he sure was fit to burst in the heat! Such a shame .

So, arrived safe and sound and the new pad is as lovely as we thought it would be, right in the middle of the national park, and with a lovely swimming pool. Very secluded, with the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. Can’t wait for tomorrow when we can check it out. The ‘Mount’ of Mount Coolum lies just behind us……it’s BIG! Some more exploring to do there too. We’ll check out what we can get up to tomorrow.

This little explorer is rather tired and I don’t think it will be long before I retire to my pit. The best thing about most of the places we have stayed is they all have fine screens on the windows and doors. This means you can leave everything open for fresh air and the sounds of waves and birds, and not be pestered by pesky biting things!  Excellent.

Some great news from the hosts just now. The whales are still hanging around here so we might be in with another chance to get some close up shots! Wow. Happy Bunny signing off for the night.
