Quite large and about 50 years old. Why pink? Well, it’s classified as a boat, but has to drive on the public highway for about 100 yards to get to the slipway so they have to make it visible, so pink with lots of orange flashing lights! 😁 If you can’t see that coming at you then maybe you shouldn’t be driving.

We were out for a couple of hours or so and stopped for a picnic on the beach across the bay. Even with my flipflops on the sand burned my feet. I had to run to get back on the wet stuff. We saw lots of different birds and a whole load of crabs! Tiny ones called blue soldier crabs. There were thousands of the things all running away from the LARC and all following each other. I tried to take a video but I don’t think it’s worked very well. I’ll see when we get back. But here are a few photos. Those little grey dots are the crabs.

We also saw a stingray, who feed on these little crabs, and a small shark. Oh, and lots of fish too.

In and out of the waves, on and off the sand banks and across the creeks. It was great fun.

All the way to Antarctica to try and stop the whaling, among other things. We had a very in depth conversation with her, she’s a great ambassador for the organisation.

Again we had a great day and tomorrow we move on once more. Back south to Mt. Coolum, another 4 hour drive and where we will spend the next 5 days.
